Teresa Myers

Teresa Myers (she/her) has spent most of her life feeling like she did not fit in anywhere. Being a Black woman in the United States, she had to find her own truth of beauty, wisdom and self-worth living in a society that often does not value or celebrate her color, gender or size. As the daughter of a Black man and woman, the sister of two Black brothers, the wife of a Black man and a mother of a Black daughter and Black son, Teresa has lived a constant mantra of "Only by the Grace of God."

Living in a constant state of stress and fear, Teresa realized she needed tools to help de-regulate her nervous system and decrease her allostatic load. She found these tools through the tenets of Naturopathic Medicine:

  • Nutrition

  • Movement

  • Herbal Medicine

  • Body Work

  • Energy Work

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Sleep

  • Education

Teresa is passionate about sharing these tenants with others to aid in their holistic health and healing. She has studied Traditional Naturopathic Medicine, Massage Therapy, Touch for Health, Herbal Medicine and Nia. Teresa also holds certification in Embodied Social Justice and holds a BA in African American Studies from the University of Michigan. Her comprehensive training and her life experiences has given Teresa the knowledge and compassion to help others heal and reclaim their bodies from physical, mental, emotional, spirit and social perspectives.
